We have an internet connection now and I'm loving it!
I'm so glad we aren't moving. We've been here since Halloween and we decided that we won't move before the lease is up at the end of August.
Since my last real post we celebrated Halloween, Camille and Bradley's wedding, David's 3rd birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, my 24th birthday, our 4th anniversary, and soon Lucy and Ben's birthdays!
I'm not going to do any "catching up" with all those celebrations. I'm just looking to the future now.
We drove down to Christi Perkes' wedding reception in the Tri-Cities this last weekend. It was so good to see her! You don't get a lot of opportunities like this in a lifetime, so I'm totally glad we went! I also found out about a certain 'blog-stalker' who frequents my blog. Don't worry, I won't say who you are :)
We went to Burger King afterwards cause they had a cool playland. There were a bunch of signs saying, "NO photos or videos in the store". Which really tempted me to take pictures in there, but I resisted and settled for a snapsnot in the car. Sometimes I just want to rebel like that, you know!?
David is still crazy little David. Well, he really isn't very crazy. He likes to play. Especially at the mall. We go there a lot. You know you are a cool mom when you go to the mall three times a week. Not to buy yourself anything, but so that your kids can run and play!
The other day he told me he had on 'sweaty pants'. I started thinking- Oh gross. Then I looked down at his SWEAT pants and smiled. What a difference a -y- can make :)
I really enjoy Lucy! She is a delight to say the least! What a cute little thing! I love her!
One last thing- Our stake added a new ward recently and our ward boundaries have changed drastically. It was good timing because I didn't really have any friends before the change. Not totally true, I know a lot of people in the ward, but I haven't established any lasting friendships yet. Not too surprising since we've only been here a few months. Throughout the day I've been thinking of a song we used to sing at Girl Scouts. To all my friends and soon to be friends-
Make new friends,
but keep the old.
One is silver,
the other is gold.
A circle is round,
it has no end.
That's how long,
I will be your friend.
Celeste - it's good to hear how you are doing! And I'm glad you are feeling so good about things now. I hope your ward is great! I understand about not having many friends. My ward here in the Atlanta area is . . . different. Happy birthdays to your little ones soon!
ReplyDeletewelcome back celeste! i can totally relate to the whole getting used to TWO insane children... i'm there as well! from the pictures, little lucy looks just like her mama, lucky girl :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're back! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteThat is so creepy you were singing that song. Just the other day I was getting something out of the car and out of the blue I start singing the Girl Scout song. Then I thought to myself how long it had been since I sung that etc. Weird... maybe it was at the same time you were thinking about it :)
ReplyDeleteI love you! Welcome back. I loved visiting you. I could have stayed and talked forever! I love getting together with other moms. your kids are so sweet. I think David is such a great boy. You're a really good mom. I was sad I couldn't see lucy!! Maybe some day. Keep posting! much love.
