Mt. Spokane Hike

Seriously, we had a fabulous hike with our wonderful friends! This was our second annual family hike day. It wasn't as memorable as last year's adventure, but definately a blast! Surprisingly, Ben and I weren't late. Big accomplishment since we had to drive an hour and a half to be there by 9:30am!

Sharla and I got to talk most of the hike and the men took care of the toddlers. We love their friendship and will greatly miss them after they move to Utah. We know it is best for their family- so they have our blessing!!

Everytime we do something cool like this, we swear we are going to do it again soon, and we don't. This time we will! We had a great time! Way more fun with friends! Yes, I do have my shirt tied around me in a weird location. Lucy was trying to fall asleep back there, but had major jello-neck... so I held her head close to my back securely with the shirt. Worked like a charm

These two had so much fun all day together! When it was time to go home David said, "But I don't want to go home. I want to go to Collette's house." and stuck out his lower lip. How sweet and yet the puppy-dog look doesn't work with this momma!

This is Lucy smiling big because she just drenched my pants with spit-up! I mean my whole thigh was COVERED!

Seriously- they were great! Yeah, a few times they were fighting with sticks and David didn't want to hold hands, but they had a blast!

The men got to carry the heavier children. Thank goodness. Although, David and Collette walked a lot on their own! Collette wanted to hold David's hand. She was heartbroken when he didn't want to. Finally, he agreed while they were both in the backpack carriers! It was adorable!

Collette loves to hold hands!!

We loved every minute of it!!

  1. Looks like you guys had a blast. Looking through your pics made me a little homesick for green and being outdoors. I love the pic of Lucy smiling. It is even better knowing why she is so happy.

  2. I think that David might just be the cutest little kid ever! (behind Tucker, of course)
