It's time to be honest...

I'm going to be honest here-

I have a love/hate relationship with blogging.
Blogging is a great escape, plenty of time can be spent ignoring your own cranky children and instead look at all the great things other people have been doing that are way cooler and cuter than anything you could do, but you can brag about what you've been doing too (like making homemade jam):

But, there are some downers. My desk has seen better days:
My guests could be greeted with a more pleasurable sight:
My children could have a place to play:
My laundry could get washed and maybe I could shovel a path to our bedrooms:

Maybe some quality time with David reading books or doing puzzles:
Piles could be attacked with vigor and vim:
...what is vim anyway?

This is why I have decided to take a break from blogging. Who knows how long I will be gone, but I finally admit that there are some things in my life that are not worth the time that I give them. I love you all, but until I can take care of my home and family my computer will be turned off except for once a day emailing and spreadsheet making.

Please understand that I love blogging. I'm torn here, but I need to choose with better care which hobbies I enjoy most. So, good bye blogging and hello again to housework, crafts, and canning!!

I'll miss you all!

Love,
Celeste

  3. LOL, you are so funny, and so true to life, it almost hurts. I will miss your hilarious posts, but I hope you won't be giving up "calls to your fav sis" as a hobby, so I should still be getting the same entertainment, just via a different medium (okay, that sounded really dorky). Anyway, love ya sis, enjoy your break from the blogging world.

  4. I keep coming back to see if your still M.I.A! Oh how I loved your blog entries! You have a great perspective on life and I always appreciated what you had to share. I support you 'wise' choice of taking of break from blogging. :-)

  5. Ha ha ha thats a funny blog about all the reasons not to blog. I'm sure however that you could find a happy medium.... Good luck on catching up and everything you guys are trying to do.

We are glad to see some pictures of the family. I think thats what bloging is really about. Its a quick and easy way to catch up.

    Stay in Touch!!!

  6. Yeah, I understand. This is pretty much my house every day! I've tried the "turn the computer on once a day only" thing, and I couldn't stay away. I've found that making a schedule (it's posted on the fridge) has helped me. And I use google reader to see which of my friends has a new post (that way I don't have to surf blogs the old fashioned way). :)

I'm going to add your blog to my list, if you don't mind. :)
