Obrigato Chia Emily!

Friday was a wonderful day- Lucy's quilt arrived from Aunt Emily!! I almost cried (this coming from an emotionally unstable woman- take it for what it's worth) when I thought of the time and love that went into this lovely blanket. And she decided to give it to my daughter! Lucy is a very lucky girl!

Those are the best of what I took before she spit up all over herself! David was happy to take over!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! My choice now- do I put it in my hope chest and give it to her when she is 'old enough' to appreciate it? Or use it everyday and let her fall in love with it now!?

  1. Use it everyday! That's what they are made for, to use! What good is it sitting in a hope chest or in a closet?? In my opinion, seeing it one day down the road about to fall apart because it's been loved so much, well that is the best!

  2. Dang, Emily was right, you did show me up.....blast! Oh well, I've still got time to get pics of her with it. And I totally agree with Emily, let her love it to shreds! Those are the blankets that mean the most.

  4. I agree with your sisters. Let her use it every day. Where do I sign up for my quilt!?!? :)
    It's beautiful.

By the way, I'll take your comment on my blog as a compliment! It's not easy getting good prego photos for my fam to see when I have no one to take them. It's either the timer and blurry, or me in the mirror and blurry.

  6. I totally agree. I made a quilt for my sister-in-law and it's up in a closet somewhere not being used. I think that they are made to be used. By the way how the heck are you? Your kids are so cute!

  8. I love the post, however I just have a couple of comments on the Portuguese. First of all GREAT JOB!!! I think you are definitely on your way to being able to teach David and Lucy by yourself, however there were a few minor errors in your spelling.

First of all you wrote "Obrigato" which should be "Obrigado" and further more since it is coming from Lucy (a female) it should be "Obrigada", had David said it, it would have been "Obrigado".

Next you wrote "Chia Emily", ok with how it sounds in English this is ok, but you really spell it "Tia Emily" exactly how you would in spanish, however pronounced differently.

Anyways hopefully this is helpful in some way shape or form!
