As a reminder...
My September Goals:
1. Go out to shop the deals once a week after I've come up with a MENU and a shopping list for the menu.
2. Don't buy sugary cereal.
3. Don't buy deodorant.
4. Don't buy brownie mix.
5. Don't buy contact solution.
6. Focus on food staples, not convenience foods.
This deal is in line with those goals, so Go Forth and Save Celeste!!

Also, we bought some shelves for the garage.
We put them up this weekend so now I can move my
stockpile from under the stairs to out in the garage.
This way, I won't have to crawl under the stairs every time
I need a food item from our stock pile! Yeah!
Now, I'm exhausted.

Wow! I'm pretty impressed. I also have to say that I'm really impressed with your September goals. I was wondering what the point of me couponing would be if all I could get is brownies and other sugary stuff...because I've seen a lot of that. But - I'll have to keep watching you! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to try this! BUT, I can't find enough of the IPs for the cereal. I only have two. Argh. I'll do my best, though!!
ReplyDeleteI know, that deal is such a great one! Awesome clothes buy too!
ReplyDeleteWay to go! Wouldn't it be nice to have a target!
ReplyDeleteWow! I am impressed! I am found your blog through Krazy Coupon Lady.com.
ReplyDeleteQuestion though - I've never done more than 1 transaction at a time (new to couponing). Do you just tell the cashier that you'd like it split up? And then you just pay 4 different times? Sorry if thats a silly question!
Maggie, I'm glad you like my goals! I'm exhibiting a lot of self control by not hitting up the Rosauer's cereal sale with my coupons on Thursday. I was able to give my sugary cereal coupons to my friends!
ReplyDeleteKelleigh, I've found that some links work better with different internet browsers- ex: Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc. Maybe try another browser or you can print them from multiple computers. Ex: Your desktop and also your laptop will work.
Monica, thanks for the encouragement. You are the Queen of Couponing in my book so that means a lot to me!
Sarah, sorry that you don't have a Target! This too shall pass...
Baby Kiwi, as you are checking out you just separate your transactions on the conveyor-belt. I've found these few things helpful before you check out:
1. Do the following BEFORE you get to the checkout...
2. Separate your transactions and have the corresponding coupons ready with each group. This will help tons when you are paying.
3. Take a big deep breath and get ready to be patient during the whole ringing up process! Head over to check out!
4. Let the cashier ring up all your items and then hand them the stack of coupons. At Target it doesn't really matter what order you give them.
5. You will pay out of pocket for the first transaction, but then on the next you can use the gift card from the first.
6. Stand your ground politely when an issue with the coupons arises. On Krazy Coupon Lady she suggests reading the store policy before you go.
GOOD LUCK KIWI MOMMA! I think I just gave you a 10 minute answer when a 30 second one would suffice, but what the heck! I like talking about this!!
Thanks! That really helps :-)
ReplyDeleteSo - I went and tried to do this exact deal...and it sort of went well. For some reason they would only take 4 of the $1/1 cpns per transaction (Even though I was buying 5 cereals). I didn't want to cause a stink (I am still new to this!) so I didn't question it...AND when I got home I realized they charged me for an extra box of bars. oh well, I'll learn and do better next time! In the end I got 11 boxes of cereal and 4 boxes of bars for $12.50. So much better than I used to do!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for your help!
Yeah Kiwi Mama! You had a better experience than most their first time! What a great deal to start your couponing adventure! Thanks for sharing!
