Day 1
Ready for the big adventure (and smelling good still):

1 Gym Rat 2 "Out Of Shape" Spouses who agreed to come along

Two.5 miles uphill with a pack and my out of shape physical condition wasn't a great combo, but it did payoff. We camped by this lake and had the WHOLE place to ourselves!
Huckleberries everywhere!!!
We had a fire, played games, and hit the sack early. We were tired!Day 2

Adventure of the day?
SCRAMBLE to the Summit (almost, it got rainy and most of us were tired...)
I had a very wonderful feeling up there in the mountains.
Maybe I'll do a more detailed post about a special experience I had another time...

We have wonderful family who cared for the chillins while we were gone.

ReplyDeleteSO jealous!! I'm pretty sure this is where I went on my "high adventure" when I was in high school. It was tough then, I can't imagine how hard it would be now (4 kids later). Way to go sis, I'm totally impressed.

ReplyDeleteDude I don't think you went the first year but this is totally where we did our Summiteer - I can't remember I thought you and Katelyn only came the second year but now I'm confused because I thought you were with Lisa and I in our tent that then turned into 6 people, anyway that lake is beautiful and I totally want to go back to that place!
