...now if only it was MY doctor and not Lucy's :)
For the past few weeks Lucy has been spitting up like crazy! She cries and scwirms when I lay her down. I don't really want to get into details, but suffice it to say that I was on an emotional roller coaster headed for the looney bin.
We went to the doctor today and she hasn't gained weight like she should have, combined with the spitting up after EVERY feeding, AND the crying when she is on her back (even when I lay her down asleep, she wakes up a few mintues later screaming in pain) He prescribed Zantac (or something with a Z).
In the middle of the visit when I found out that YES there really was something wrong with her a huge weight was lifted when I said- 'so I'm not crazy, there really is something going on here'. I was very releaved when he said- 'no, you aren't crazy'.
Not much of an update for all of you, but to me this is a huge breakthrough! I hope this medicine helps her to be happier and healthier!!
ps- I hope it stops snowing soon. I heard we only ned 2.5 more inches for a record snowfall!
actually Celeste, this IS news to most of us:)

I'm so glad you went to the doctor. Things should be much more pleasant now!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you figured this out! You smart little mom....I really hope the medicine works and that Lucy's tummy can get feeling better. And I loved the story mom told me about David talking to Lucy at the doctors, what a cute and concerned big bro. Anyway, hope things get going better....those emotional roller coasters headed for the looney bin are NO fun!
